The useful question is which complete build fits your preferences and budget. A brand name cannot answer that by itself. SE Doll and Starpery both have multiple configurations, and even two dolls at the same height can be substantially different purchases.

Alba A and Amy both stand at 161 cm, but their proportions, heads and included options differ. Let's look at what that means for your shortlist.

Read past the material label

Amy pairs a silicone head with a TPE body in her default configuration. That's different from a full-silicone doll, and worth keeping in mind when choosing the materials you want.

For Alba A, check the actual selected head and the body options rather than assuming every SE configuration has the same construction. Keep head material and body material as two separate fields in your comparison.

The broader materials guide explains the material decision. Here, the priority is identifying the construction of the two offers in front of you.

Equal height does not mean an equal body

The cup labels hint at different silhouettes, but they aren't standardized across factories. The full bust, waist and hip measurements and the galleries will give you a better feel for which proportions you prefer.

Amy's waist is 52 cm larger and her hips 36 cm larger. Those differences belong to these two bodies, rather than the brand or material alone. Ask us to confirm the head, body and options on your chosen doll before planning how you'll move and store it.

For SE's supported lightweight bodies, check the specific upgrade rather than assuming that all SE models are lightweight or that every size saves the same amount. The SE buying guide remains the broader brand reference.

What the starting-price gap can tell you

The difference between the starting prices above is $300. That is a difference between two base offers, not proof of a $300 difference between equally configured purchases.

Amy's default configuration has a hard silicone head, Light Tan skin and a TPE body. Alba A shows Regular TPE and Keep the original head for the separate silicone-head upgrade, so their starting head constructions differ. Check the head, hair, standing setup and any finish or structural upgrades you'd choose on each. Note any extra charge, and give included features credit without paying for them twice.

If only one model supports a feature you consider essential, that can settle the shortlist without inventing an equivalent option for the other. Likewise, an unavailable upgrade should not be counted as free.

Your shortlist questionA useful starting pointWhat to check before choosing
Will the silhouettes occupy similar space?Equal height but substantially different bust, waist and hipsA shared clothing size or storage footprint
Am I comparing full silicone with TPE?Amy's default is a silicone head with TPE body; Alba's default material is Regular TPEA controlled full-silicone-versus-TPE result
Is one easier for me to handle?35 kg for Alba A and 52.5 kg for AmyThe weight and dimensions of your chosen build
Does the $300 gap settle value?Difference between starting pricesDifference between equally configured or delivered totals

There is no useful universal winner

If you prefer Alba A's proportions and configuration, the lower starting price leaves a different budget for supported choices. If you prefer Amy's body and selected head construction, compare that complete offer rather than trying to reduce the decision to a brand ranking.

For either model, the gallery, written configuration, measurements and current total need to describe the same build. That is the comparison worth keeping.
