Start an MD Doll shortlist with the complete body designation, then add the head and finish. Height alone is not enough: the factory uses lettered body versions, and a familiar face can appear on more than one body or in a fixed warehouse configuration.
This guide explains how to read those combinations. The MD Doll collection is the place to browse current products and availability.
Understand the two codes
MD's factory catalog identifies Bonnie as a 166(B) cm F-cup build with head M-37. It also lists Rose on a 166(C) cm body with head M-38 and Jeane on a 167(A) cm body with head M-40. Those are separate body-and-head identities, not interchangeable names for one doll. MD's official catalog
Read the height and its letter together. Then record the complete head code, including any named construction or function. A seller's display name is useful for remembering a face; the factory codes are more useful when asking a precise configuration question.
If a listing omits the body letter, ask for it before comparing measurements with a factory sheet. Do not fill the gap by choosing the closest-looking photograph.
Three practical catalog comparisons
These examples were listed on DollWOW when checked on 16 October 2026. They illustrate different buying questions, not a ranking or hands-on review.
| Example | What the listing identifies | The useful question |
|---|---|---|
| Mary | 168 cm E-cup silicone custom build; head M44; listed body weight 32 kg | Do these proportions suit your space and preferences? |
| Jeane | 167 cm D-cup silicone custom build; head M40; listed body weight 33.5 kg | Which exact body version and head are being paired? |
| Bonnie, US stock | 166 cm F-cup silicone stock listing; head M37; listed weight 41 kg | What is already installed on this particular unit? |
The stock listing is not a blank custom-order form. Compare its existing configuration with the made-to-order alternatives rather than assuming you can replace permanent features before dispatch.
Mary and Jeane explicitly label their figures as body weight; Bonnie's field says only weight. They are not a confirmed like-for-like weight comparison. DollWOW's head labels omit the factory's hyphen, so retain the original order record when confirming M37/M-37 or M40/M-40 rather than treating punctuation alone as a new head version.
Separate construction from appearance
Make three short lists for your preferred product: included construction, selected appearance, and separately priced extras. This avoids counting an included feature as an upgrade or assuming that every attractive detail in a gallery is supplied.
For construction, ask for the skeleton, hand and finger arrangement, feet, fillings, and supported head functions. For appearance, record the skin tone, makeup, hair and eyes. For extras, save the actual supported selections and their effect on the total.
The official MD catalog identifies Bonnie as 166(B) with head M-37. That model reference does not establish the included package or price of a DollWOW offer. Use the written specification attached to the product you would order.
Do not combine three different skin descriptions
Body makeup describes an applied appearance. Skin texture describes surface detail. Bionic skin is a separately named upgrade on DollWOW's Mary and Jeane pages. A dated promotion for that upgrade is not evidence of a permanent inclusion or of the configuration of a warehouse Bonnie. Treat these descriptions as separate fields, not three ways of saying that a doll has the same finish.
Ask which is included on the exact body and which is optional. If the main reason for choosing an upgrade is visual detail, request a reference for that finish on the intended body. A photograph taken under different lighting is a poor basis for estimating softness or durability.
Make the handling comparison meaningful
Record bust, waist, hips and shoulder width alongside height. Those dimensions help with clothing and storage in a way that cup letters alone cannot.
Keep body-only, complete-doll and packed weights separate. Where a listing simply says "Weight," ask what is included before calculating a difference. A delivery carton weight is useful for receiving the package, but it is not the same measurement as the doll you will move at home.
Finish with one written build
Choose the body first, confirm the head pairing, and then decide which supported extras matter enough to keep. Save the product link, body and head codes, appearance choices, inclusions and configured total together.
For a warehouse unit, request confirmation of that unit's existing specification. For a custom order, resolve unanswered choices before production. The ready-to-ship versus custom guide explains the order-path difference; DollWOW support can help turn a shortlist into one clearly defined build.
